Based in Central Victoria, Tim Pilgrim is celebrated for his naturalistic cottage-style gardens that blend the traditional and contemporary, edible and ornamental. With more than 15 years of experience and exceptional knowledge of plants, Tim creates immersive landscapes rich in texture, seasonality and atmosphere.
His work has been featured in Country Style, Australian House & Garden, Gardening Australia, The Design Files and Gardens Illustrated. His award winning first book 'Wild by Design’ released 2025, is a must have for your collection.
Tim approaches garden design with "an artistic sensibility, a passion for plants, and a practical need to create gardens that respond to the environmental realities of our time."
Michael McCoy, host of ABC’s Dream Gardens, is one of Australia’s most respected voices in horticulture and garden design. Known for his thoughtful observations and ability to articulate why gardens move us, Michael brings a unique perspective shaped by decades of designing, writing and exploring gardens both in Australia and abroad.
Together, Tim and Michael will discuss the evolving role of gardens, the influence of plants in shaping a sense of place, and the ideas and experiences that have informed their celebrated careers.
