Kitchen Garden
The Kitchen Garden is a celebration of creativity and mother nature, with a focus on edible flowers and herbs that are used by the Wild Canary kitchen. Lovingly tendered to by our head gardener, the beds are dedicated to providing habitat for beneficial insects, including a variety of flower sizes to accommodate our resident family of native Australian stingless bees.
Edible Flowers
Every flower planted is edible. They are picked daily by Wild Canary chefs for the seasonal menu, especially for their famous cakes. The head gardener works closely with Executive Chef Glen Barratt to share planting plans and inspiration. Based on organic and holistic principles and rejuvenating soil life, the planting layouts within the Kitchen Garden change with season and weather.
Be inspired
The kitchen garden is a fabulous demonstration space and a working garden for Wild Canary. The gardens are an ever-changing entity showcasing seasonal plants that you can purchase from the nursery and plant in your garden at home.

Healthy soil
Everything starts with healthy soil. Throughout the year we use a variety of inputs to feed the microbial life in the soil. We regularly use RockyPoint ActiveGrow to rejuvenate the soil, especially after heavy cropping and at the end of the growing season. Mulching is essential in this climate, we use RockyPoint sugarcane.
