Heidi's Garden

Heidi Savage is best known at Brookfield Gardens for her regular appearances on our social media feed and her work in the Kitchen Garden. Her home in Brookfield is adorned with a forever growing collection of pots and plants. Welcome to Heidi's garden.

The huge Euphorbia 'Cowboy' is fondly known as Gus. Heidi has grouped pots together and used plants with similar colour tones and water requirements.

This Euphorbia is over 10 years old and has been under planted with baby Echeveria.

The relaxed outside patio is home to small pot clusters and a lovely wooden table, plus a few resident sleepy dogs.

This Sante Low Dish has been planted up with an assortment of succulents and cactus. Looks fabulous in the middle of this wooden table setting.

Heidi always has a project on the go, these babies are waiting for their forever home.

This side of the house gets the morning sun, plants here are Jade and Pony Tail palm.

Pony Tail palm and an Aloe planted here in these pots.

A couple of large trees out the back are home to a jumbled collection of Elkhorn Fern, Hoyas, Orchids and Dischidia.

Succulents in hanging baskets are used under established trees in the garden.

Heidi's pooch, 'Pooh'.

This stunning specimen is an Agave 'El Mirador'.

In the courtyard part of her house Heidi has this incredible collection of plants. Plants here from left to right are Sansevieria, Blue Bird Crassula, Pony Tail Palm, Blue Agave, Euphorbia 'Cowboy' and a Persian Shield.

'Copper Spoons' Kalanchoe.

Homemade green wall.

The fabulous 'Persian Shield' - Strobilanthes gossypinus is a great plant. Highly recommended, grown for it's foliage and loves a full sun/part shade spot.
