Ficus lyrata

The large glossy green leaves of the Fiddle Leaf Fig make this plant a popular indoor and balcony plant.  The Fiddle Leaf Fig requires bright lit, and can even tolerate some morning sun.  Water weekly or when the top 2-3cm of soil has dried out, this generally means less in winter.  A Fiddle Leaf Fig hates nothing more then being in a dark corner in wet soil.

As these plants can get quiet tall, it is easiest if you keep then potted in a plastic pot and place that pot inside a nice decorative pot or basket.  This makes is easy to take the plants outside for a hose or maintenance.

This plant stands between 1 to 1.3m out of the pot.
